Royals Making The World A Better Place

I think they also make a difference when they lend their image and work to social organizations that could be in serious problem if they didn't have the Royal Sponsors. And they influence people to help those organizations by the fact that they are there. I see the excitement and recognition...

The Banned Cover of 'El Jueves' Magazine and Related Issues: July 2007

No one, royal or not, should be ridiculed the way El Jueves did. I wouldn't like to see my most hated neighbour pictured like that, so it is normal that (some) people who thinks the same, thought in saying "That is Enough!" And I'm sure that many who laugh around with seeing Letizia and...

The Royal Family of Spain, Current Events Part 15: March - September 2007

Because the King of Spain is, before all, an institution. And that institution goes over the personal feelings and give condolences when someone relevant in society dies. Don Juan Carlos could have crawled the Palace walls 30 years ago when he read that statement from Polanco but in the...

Future and Popularity of the Spanish Monarchy

I must tell you, to add a slightly different topic to the topic itself, that I wouldn't have chosen Juan Carlos to marry Sofia, back then. Somehow she seemed fitted for a different noble... for me, even his "asking hand" act would/should have given Sofia the chills and make her running for...
