This is so different from the British royal family where their christenings seem to be almost done in secrecy (except for P. Charlotte). I suppose the paparazzi is not as intrusive in places like Denmark and Sweden. Perhaps if the BRF were more open to releasing pictures or having videos...
I agree Biri. I think a photo of the Queen and Phillip with their children and spouses, grandchildren and spouses and great grandchildren would be a fabulous picture. Maybe there is more to come later. (Fingers crossed)
Is there a link to the video of the festivities that can be viewed in the...
At one event there were pictures of Prince Christian of Denmark at about age 3 wearing pants that weren't shorts but weren't long pants either. They came to below his knee but above his calf. It seemed like it didn't really fit him. He also had on shoes with no socks. Is it sort of a national...
Is the church at Sandringham on the Queen's private property or is it a community church? I'm asking because last year I read that the Middletons had to be invited to attend services on Christmas morning. Plus, you never see any one other than royals going into or exiting the church.
Every year...
That she seemed to find a new man so quickly after both marriage breakups would seem to indicate that the reason for the breakup might not have been all the fault of the Prince or Martin, as has been implied in some reports. I always thought it took two to make a marriage and two to break a...
I read that the family members are required to arrive at Sandringham in order of precedence or seniority. I fully understand that this is a royal family but to me it takes the family relationship out and inserts a "state" relationship, as though they were arriving for an official event. I wonder...
I'm sure it is just me but it seems that both Charlene and Albert appear very uncomfortable holding their babies. They just seem awkward. Maybe because they always hold them facing out, while in the U.S. we tend to hold them at our side so they can see the face of their parents.
That was my point. Thank you. My comment had nothing to do with male vs. female spouses. It was all about military service which his wife and Edward do not have. The day is about honoring the military veterans among which he is one.
I don't think Tim would ever complain. As I mentioned, he is always quiet and dignified. But as far as him being royal and therefore exempt from being able to participate in the ceremony, many people who are not royal laid wreaths.
I always feel sorry for Sir Tim Laurence when he is always relegated to the balcony with the spouses. Afterall, he has had a distinguished career in the Navy rising to the rank of Vice-admiral....which in the U.S. at least is a pretty high rank to achieve. I know Anne and even Edward are...
There was much discussion among Kate's blogger fans regarding her receiving the Royal Family Order from the Queen before the Chinese state visit. Upon seeing photos of the dinner, we know now that she did not receive it. If the Queen should die before bestowing that honor on Kate, would it then...
The picture of Joachim by himself in the suit he looks just like Felix. Until this picture, I never saw a resemblance, but it is definitely present in that picture.
