I have only ever received replies from the Romanian Royal House in reply to my letters of condolence on the death of King Michael and Queen Anne despite also writing for a few birthdays and Christmas over the years.

I sent a letter to Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg congratulating him on his engagement and upcoming wedding a few weeks ago so hopefully I get a response of some sort soon. I personally don't mind that most Royals don't give our autographs, it's just nice to know that they get it.

HGD Guillaume is my favourite. I find him something of a role model, but I think the whole family are all wonderful if I'm honest.

This article says they will be meeting Commonwealth athletes too, which is good to see. I wonder if we will hear the Queen speak French when she officially declares the Games open. It is the 2nd Olympic language and it would be nice if she used it as well as English.
