Yes that is a bit strange. If Charlene never does wear Grace's jewels then I at least hope they will be passed on to Jacque's wife/Princess Gabriella and not to the Casiraghi's. I am definitely getting a feeling that Charlene seems much more comfortable in her role as princess these days though...
She looks incredible, her taste these days is superb. Unfortunately she has off days that are hard to fathom when she will wear a total monstrosity (Paris recently)but these are getting fewer.
It's a striking picture as the Queen is just blending in with the other new mothers holding her baby. I can’t think of any picture quite like it as the Queen was always front and centre and a little bit 'apart', even in family pictures.
I mean when the day comes when Mary CAN wear them. I so wish the DRF had purchased that tiara when it came up at auction, I saw what it sold for and I would imagine they could have afforded it.
I read that Queen Alexandrine's sapphire tiara is in a museum in Copenhagen. Would Queen Mary be able to use it if she wanted to? It seems pointless to have it just sitting in a case when she could team it with the sapphire demi-parure. That is one set I would love to see being worn together.
I agree, I too thought Queen Silvia would have worn the Braganza tiara. Between this and Mary's choice of dress and jewels this visit has not lived up to its billing for me unfortunately.
I would actually have preferred the full gold one, it's more regal looking. I admire her for recycling clothes too but I thought she would have pulled out all the stops for this visit with new day/evening wear and some new jewellery.
