Interesting to see that the Queen again didn´t wear the Garter sash, only the star! It´s the second time - IMO it looks a bit "incomplete" for a white tie Gala occasion.
Her late mother in laws favourite tiara looks very good and suitable on her, though!
Here are some more photos:

Good to see them both out and about. I also think this was an especially well chosen first outing after the announcement of HM's illness.King Charles as new Patron of Cancer Research UK and Patron of Macmillan Cancer Support and Queen Camilla visited the Macmillan Cancer Centre in London today, April 30:

Not quite. If he follows his mother's example, he doesn't need to be particularly busy. Receive the guests and dine with them on the first day and probably say goodbye on the last day. All other activities were undertaken by other family members - at least the last few years.
The portrait was commissioned in 2020 to celebrate the then Prince of Wales's 50 years as a member of The Drapers' Company in 2022. The artwork depicts the King wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards, of which he was made Regimental Colonel in 1975. The canvas size - approximately 8.5 by 6.5 feet when framed - was carefully considered to fit within the architecture of Drapers' Hall and the context of the paintings it will eventually hang alongside. Jonathan Yeo had four sittings with the King, beginning when he was Prince of Wales in June 2021 at Highgrove, and later at Clarence House. The last sitting took place in November 2023 at Clarence House. Yeo also worked from drawings and photographs he took, allowing him to work on the portrait in his London studio between sittings
Great timing for those who recently were awarded the order (both William last week and Charles today) handed out several M/O/C/K(D)C/K(D)C-BE's.The King and Queen will attend a service for the Order of the British Empire at St Pauls on 15 May
That painting looks like Charles is emerging from a Jello mold. Throw in a few marshmallows, and you could serve it at a picnic.Today, May 14, King Charles and Queen Camilla attended the unveiling of the portrait of the King Charles III by artist Jonathan Yeo at Buckingham Palace:

Possibly a different coloured background might have worked better? The actual portrait of the King is very good, but all that red stuff looks like a kid's spilt something on it!
