    Worst Royal Jewels 1

HRHAmy, Princess Maxima isn't wearing the peacock tiara. She's wearing a tiara made for Queen Emma. They're two ruby tiaras (provided the peacock one hasn't been sold) in the RF's vaults, and the peacock one hasn't been seen since the 70's.

    Star Tiaras

Thanks for the info! I love the picture of Alexandra of SWB wearing it, it shows the stars and design so very clearly. It's a gorgeous piece.

    Star Tiaras

Ursala's site has a gorgeous ruby star tiara. I can't provide a picture, but here's the link http://www.royal-magazin.de/spain/infanta-eulalia/tiara-ruby-star.htm If anyone has any other photos of this set, and could post them, I'd be very grateful :)

    Star Tiaras

The Star tiara worn by Princess Benedikte of Denmark was originally a swedish tiara. It was inherited by Queen Ingrid (born a princess of Sweden) and brought to Denmark on her marriage. I don't know who owned the tiara first though.

Tiaras and Jewels for the Next Generation

I'd love to see the York Princesses wearing something from the Queen Mother, from when she was Duchess of York. There's a few nice ones that aren't overwhelming, and don't have major attachment to British history, but are still gorgeous:)

Princess Madeleine Jewellery 1: Ending 2023

I think I prefer the 4 button tiara over the 6, because I just can't get over how ugly the base is!

    Duchess of Cornwall Jewellery 2: Feb-Nov 2005

Now that the Duchess has an appropriate tiara, I think it's time that she gets a few necklaces to go with it! Did Queen Mary have a favorite diamond necklace to go with this tiara, or do you think C&C should buy the Duchess a different necklace?

    Countess of Wessex Jewellery

That's the one that looks like part of Princess Alice's tiara. It's very pretty, for being rather small. (I love flowers, so, almost anything flower-y will be liked by me in a tiara!)

    Star Tiaras

that's a very cool one :) Does anyone know who owns the Wuttenberg Ruby Star tiara now? Is it still in that families possession, or was it broken up and/or sold?

    Star Tiaras

Left to right: 1). Grand Duchess Alexandra Josefovna (b. Alexandra of Saxe-Altenburg), wife of Grand Duke Nicholas Constantinovich, daughter-in-law of Nicholas I, mother of Queen Olga of Greece, and great grandmother of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. 2). Grand Duchess Marie Pavlona Sr...

Prince Félix, News and Picture Thread 3: April - July 2005

Alexandria is one of the most professional, politest, and well-rounded administrators I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with. Your post did sound like a demand, and there is no reason for your personal problem with the administration to be posted publically. As for Prince...

Queen Margrethe II Jewellery 1: Ending 2021

The golden poppies may not be bad if she just wore one or two, or combined them into a more traditional tiara shape. With the chain-like thing, and putting them helter-skelter in her hair, it just looks odd.

    Luxembourg's National Day 1: June 23, 2003-2022

Actually, it doesn't look anything like the other amethyst tiara/necklace that's in the family. I think she probably has a new set :)

Jewels of the British Nobility 1: Ending Aug. 2023

that second Spencer tiara would probably look a lot better if it was made into 2 tiaras. It seems to have 2 distinct motifs going, and they don't seem to blend well (imo)

Crown Princess Mary Jewellery 1: December 2003-January 2006

    Crown Princess Mette-Marit Jewellery 1: Ending 2021

I'd love to see Mette-Marit wear the version of Queen Maud's tiara that Martha Louise wore to her wedding. I think it's beautiful, but not too grand, so the queen wouldn't be outglittered. The amethysts and the diamond daisy tiaras are nice, but as second lady in the nation, and as one who's...

    Star Tiaras

I was looking at Danjel's Royal Splendour site, when I realized I'd seen the Baden Star tiara before (At least I'm fairly sure I have!). It's the same one worn by Queen Victoria's daughter, Beatrice! compare these two pictures. http://worldroots.com/brigitte/gifs6/beatricebritain1857-15.jpg...

Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg (formerly Princess of Denmark) Jewellery

It would be so nice to see her in a pearl tiara. Then she could incorporate some of her wonderful pearl necklaces into a parure!

    Grand Duchess Maria Teresa Jewellery

I think she needs a new tiara. If Grand Duchess J-C isn't willing to part with the more impressive jewels, then Grand-Duke Henri should buy his wife a tiara to rival his mothers :)

Crown Princess Mary Jewellery 1: December 2003-January 2006

That's a good question. some auction houses will let you do searches of previous auctions, but, without a good closeup of the tiara (if only the white cap wasn't there :) ) it's hard to tell

Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia, Current Events Part 1: Nov. 2003 - August 2004

It's funny seeing Felipe sign autographs. I guess even royals have to adapt to the times.

Does anyone have a copy of that closeup of Alexandra wearing the wonderful Star tiara? She wore it to one of the Danish celebration/wedding ceremony.
