If Charles had died while he and Diana were still married what would her title have become? I believe I read once that there are two title options she could have used Her Royal Highness The Dowager Princess of Wales or Her Royal Highness Diana, Princess of Wales.

I'm late to the thread and I'm sure that I'll find the answer or discussion of this already, but are we sure he'll get a Dukedom. Since it's probably assumed he'll get Cornwall and Rothesay, might they go the Edward route? If they do, what Earldoms or other peerages might be available?

I'm even more confused now, because I read that William would not get the Duke of Cornwall title if Charles died before the Queen. I thought it was the Prince of Wales title that he wouldn't get, unless the Queen gave him the title, but the Duchy of Cornwall title automatically went to the heir.

I just bought the DVD set last week, and I haven't stopped watching it. It is just so well done and interesting. It really shows how a working monarchy adds to the economy of the country it is in. Now, I'm off to watch it again.

What would William and Harry's titles have been if Charles had died? Would they have stayed Princes of Wales or would they become The Prince William or The Prince Harry? If they lost the Wales title, would William go by the Duke of Cornwall title and Harry be given some other dukedom?
