I always thought that the chill between the Queen and Thatcher had most all to do with lifestyles. Thatcher did not enjoy Balmoral at all. I always assumed the lack of comfortable heat, fustiness and isolation were her sticking points. JMO from things I have read over the years.

All of this and the hair is great on her. I actually think the dress is completely in her wheelhouse. It's not so much a recognizable Jenny Packham. JMO

I think it also likely that the bride gets to have asks for and against. As in wants "something smaller," "something simple," "all white stones," "linear rather than floral," "Pearls if possible," or along those lines.

Fit is questionable. Lots of gaping and wrinkles coming from the car. The fabric looks stiff - and might be causing most of this? Lots of sections and buttons fighting the visuals here. The style would be OK if I were not so distracted by the fit.

I enjoy when she wears something a bit more kicky and fun. I get it that she has decided to dress like a future queen, but she's not that age or station yet. This frankly made me smile because it is updated. I need smiles these days. It may be unfair of me to rely on royalty to amuse...

An FYI, for what it's worth. The story on US CBS network this morning was that Andrew has gone back on his word. And that these are hard days for Her Majesty. CBS usually fawns all over Royalty.
