    Crown Princess Mette-Marit's Eveningwear Part 6: October 2016 -

I wish she had worn her original version of the dress (which she wore for the wedding in Sweden), and when Sonja wore the emeralds, why not borrow the pearl tiara? It is so sad that she has so few options, when the NRF vault is stuffed with unworn jewellery for what ever reason they store it.....

Danish State Visit to Norway: May 14 - 15, 2024

I am also looking forward to the state visit, but: The NRF was best in social media and communication before. Now they are not very good. All the publicity in Sweden, made by the two royal courts of Sweden and Denmark, and SVT broadcasting, I do hope there will be any of it here as well. But the...

You are correct. She is wearing the ruby parure. And not the complete! So maybe (I am lucky) and she will debut the pearl poire tiara in Oslo next week :D

Tiaras and Jewels guessing for upcoming events: 2024

The emerald parure was taken out of Rosenborg a while ago, and it is probably an upcoming gala portrait. But for events outside Denmark I suspect we will see the pearl poire married parure. First in Sweden and then in Norway. Maybe the diamond floral "aigrette", which is not an aigrette.

Bridal Tiara Guessing for Up-coming Weddings

I do not hope it is the diamond tiara from Queen Maud. That one should become reserved for the first lady of the next reign, together with the large pearl tiara, the emerald tiara and the Empress Josephine diamond tiara. But, yes the invitations to the second wedding says gala for European...

Tiaras and Jewels guessing for upcoming events: 2024

It was leaked from the invitations that the US guests were encouraged to dress like the people going for the Oscar's and for the "european guests" gala attire, which could mean tiaras. I doubt we will see tiaras on her daughters. They don't have any to supply with. For next week my guess...

    Crown Princess Mette-Marit Jewels 2: 2022 -

When she "plays" with her own diamond earrings and put amethysts there, maybe someone should tell her to make use of Queen Maud's diamond tiara and replace the diamond tops with amethysts. Then they have a grand parure of amethysts. With tiara, a big neclace and bracelets. Even making the...

Danish State Visit to Norway: May 14 - 15, 2024

I hope to see everyone there, but not Shaman Durek. Also hope that Crown Princess Mette-Marit upgrade some of her jewels. But likely not gonna happen. Anyways the relation between the Norwegian and Danish royal families are very close. So this will be fun to follow. And probably broadcasted...

    Abdications

I don't think there will be an abdication in Norway. Harald's big luck is to have Sonja by his side. Yes, they both turn 87 next year, but Sonja is almost like a healthy 60 year old woman. She has not aged much. As Margrethe in Denmark, Sonja has been the best that happened for the Norwegian...

    The Duchess of Gloucester Jewellery

I am just thinking loud, but, could Birgitte have worn this bandeau for other functions earlier? Because she is rarely photographed. And for many events there have been zero pictures of her. Just wondering. She has one of the best collections of Europe for sure, but the future for this is not...

Spanish Royal Jewels: Suggested changes and additions

If there are one royal house that does not need to grow their collection, it is the Spanish royal house. Why? Because they have almost zero tiara events. Do they really have anyone other than state visits? And with so few events, they have more than enough. It will be interesting to see what...

    Crown Princess Mette-Marit's Eveningwear Part 6: October 2016 -

This dress is almost identical to the red one she wore for the annual parliament dinner last year. But with the hideous "top portion". Another similar gown is the one with a floral arrangement/daisy motif on top. But this is what she likes. I wish she had access to better accessoires in term of...

Tiaras and Jewels guessing for upcoming events: 2023

Opening of the Parliament (Stortinget) 2004 - 2023

I believe they have a collection of 23 carriages. One of them is the coronation coach, and there are several other nice ones. But as they don't have horses, they don't use them anylonger. But it would have been nice to use this for parliament opening and state visits.
