The 50 guests were placed before the small hermitage of the Palace. At the first rows, there was the closest family. On one side, Iñaki Urdangarín and Cristina with the small Irene in arms, the Dukes of Lugo, the Princes of Asturias and the Kings; in front of them, there were the godparents, Rosario Nadal with her husband, Kyril of Bulgaria, and Pedro Lopez Quesada, with his wife, Cristina de Borbón-Dos Sicilias y Orleans, daughter of the Dukes of Calabria. Then, the paternal grandparents of Irene, Clara Liebaert and Juan Maria Urdangarín. Behind them, there was the Queen’s sister, princess Irene of Greece, and the sisters of the King: the infantas Doña Pilar and Doña Margarita (this one with her husband, Carlos Zurita, Duke of Soria). Next to them, there were the president of the Government, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, and his wife, Sonsoles Espinosa. But the most numerous group was formed of about thirty children, among them the five grandchildren of the Kings. This time, it was not Froilán, the eldest one, who completed seven years old, the naughty one. That honour was fully deserved by his sister, Victoria Federica, who even put her arms on the altar, not to lose detail of the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Queen it did not stop taking photos with her own camera, to immortalize every moment.
The ceremony was also attended by the children of the Dukes of Soria, Alfonso and Maria Zurita, along with the children of Doña Pilar: Simoneta Gómez-Acebo with her husband, Jose Miguel Fernandez Sastrón, and their children, Luis, Pablo and Maria; Juan, viscount de la Torre (and the only single one); Bruno and Barbara Cano with their son, Alexandre (who is eight months); Betrán and the model Laura Ponte, just gave light to Luis on July 1st; and Fernando with his wife, Mónica Martín Luque.
On the part of Iñaki Urdangarín, in addition to his parents, there were his brothers and sisters, Laura, Clara, Ana, Cristina, Lucia and Mikel, with their respective spouses and children.
The list of guests was completed with Kubrat of Bulgaria and Carla Royo-Villanova, Alberto Aza y Ricardo Díez-Hochleitner,, who is the head Secretary of the House of the King, respectively. In addition, it was invited the medical team of the Teknon Clinic, who attended Doña Cristina in the childbirth, headed by the gynecologist Manuel García Valdecasas.
