Congratulations, Princess Elisabeth...or should I say: Officer Van België!!! ?
Taking the oath in all 3 languages, the other students take the oath in one language (their mother tongue).
A longer video:
The proud parents and siblings:
Prince Gabriël marching. Someone please check on Mathilde!
I still don't understand how Princess Elisabeth can be commissioned when she still has one year (?) left before earning her bachelor's degree at Oxford.
I don't know how it works exactly, but also her cousin, Prince Amedeo, took his oath as an officer in 2007, one year before earning his bachelor's degree at the London School of Economics.I still don't understand how Princess Elisabeth can be commissioned when she still has one year (?) left before earning her bachelor's degree at Oxford.
What a shame there are no photos.Prince Amedeo and his family were in Belgium to celebrate Easter. His wife, Lili, and eldest daughter Anna Astrid (who will turn 8 next month) were spotted attending a mass on Easter Sunday with King Albert and Queen Paola, in the Brussels Cathedral:
