- There will not be any official celebration on prince Carl-Philip's 40th birthday. The Prince has chosen to celebrate privately.

Margareta Thorgren has commented to Svensk Damtidning that Sofia doesn't have many work events this month.
The last month, the princess has only had three missions scheduled in the royal calendar. The meeting with journalist Katarina Wennstam, an assembly evening at the Palace and the Riksdag Supper. But that does not mean that she has taken time off most of the month.
- Princess Sofia is constantly working. However, her work is not always in the publicity, says Margareta Thorgren.

I haven't seen anything. In general Princess Sofia only get's good press
 
Pre-emptive strike! Having seen the best Sweden has to offer and the worst UK and international press have to offer. Who would have thought the press could get as bad as this?

After reading the article it's clear that Margaretha Thorgren answers a question from Svensk Damtidning. There is no media campaign investigating the workload of individual members of the Royal family. Svensk Damtidning has obviously had a look at Sofia's schedule and decided that it needs investigating. Maybe they hope for a small scandal à la Windsor to sell more magazines.

On Thursday, Swedish House Mafia made its first gig in six years.
35,000 were present in the Tele 2 arena in Stockholm to see the comeback - among them Prince Carl Philip.
For the prince, it was at least the third time he saw trio live.
When Swedish House Mafia began its farewell tour in Stockholm 2012 with three concerts, the prince was not only there once - but twice.
At the Thursday concert he was seen in the VIP area in the arena when the band played. On a picture he stands at a table with a champagne glass and takes a picture of the scene with his phone.
The prince did not want to miss the initial concert of Swedish House Mafia's reunion tour. The band also plays in Stockholm on Friday and Saturday evenings - but Carl Philip chose to go on the very first.
- It was a private visit for the prince, says Margareta Thorgren.

Prince Carl Philip is 40 years old today, May 13 - a big birthday that will be celebrated privately with friends and family.
The celebration will take place later in May and, according to the court, will be celebrated traditionally.
- He will celebrate it traditionally. He will do this privately together with his family.
Where the celebration will take place somewhere or how the party will be, the court does not want to comment.
- I have no further information, but he is at home now anyway, says Thorgren.
If the prince has started the celebration already this weekend is unclear, but even in the royal family, 40 is considered a great birthday.
- He turns 40 and there are many who see it as a form of milestone. It is a great day. It is the step into the adult world one can say.
Exactly who will participate in the celebration now when the prince having definitely has reached the middle age, the court does not want to comment more than that it will be "private".

The jewelery is designed and manufactured by Goldsmith Katarina Herbertsson who is active both in Sunne and in Karlstad.

Svensk Damtidning wrote at their paywall article, that the family gathered to Villa Solbacken yesterday evening to a birthday celebration.

Since the Crown Princess is a big sister, it has been important for Prince Carl Philip that the Crown Princess is there, especially after little sister Madeleine didn't have the possibility due to the distance.
The party started at 20 o'clock on Wednesday and during the party there is a dinner. The court doesn't want to publish the menu - nor if any artists will perform.

Thanks Lady Finn! Looks more like a Bad Taste Party to me. Not surprised we don't see the costumes of CG and Silvia and the CP couple.

It has been a secret how Carl Philip and Sofia were dressed at Carl Philip's 40th birthday masquerade party on 29th May, where the dress code at the invitation was "Your alter ego as a child".

Now new swedish website specialized in royals - Allt om kungligt - has found it out.
Now, Allt om kungligt can reveal exclusively that our always equally well-dressed design prince dreamed of becoming a handsome pilot like many other young boys, but also of spending life as a relaxed and carefree surfer.
- Carl Philip's masquerade equipment was two-piece. The upper half he was nicely dressed as a pilot, while the lower half consisted of swimming trunks and flip-flops, a source says.
Carl Philips' costume in any case made great success among the guests.
- The prince would have become a very nice pilot and an at least equally delicious surfer, says our source who was at the party.
Princess Sofia surprised the guests with welcoming them dressed up as superstar Beyoncé. She had chosen the star's clothing from the American Grammy Awards 2017 when she made an entry into a goddess-like outfit complete with a headdress that created an illusion of golden aura and not completely different to the Statue of Liberty. Sofia had managed to create an exactly the same disguise and according to witnesses at the party she was very beautiful.
Allt om kungligt, however, doubts that it was just Beyoncé that Sofia dreamed of becoming as a child. Their age difference is only three years but we suspect that it was the singer she wanted to become and that Beyoncé got to represent it.

1. Their home Villa Solbacken
2. Bonti baby boutique, the place where they bought their first pram
3. Farang, Restaurant Farang serves Southeast Asian food and nice cocktails and is located in a cool industrial premises.
4. Brasserie Balzac, Brasserie Balzac brings to mind Paris with its wonderful interior. The relaxed atmosphere apparently appeals to the prince couple because here Carl Philip and Sofia have been seen on several occasions. Recently Sofia was here with some girlfriends and Alexander.
5. Skansen. The family loves to visit Skansen and watch the animals.
6. Café Créme, Sofia is often seen here with her friends both with the children and without them.
7. Ciao Ciao Grande, at this restaurant Carl Philip and his siblings have visited since they were children, and he and Sofia continue the tradition and east pasta or pizza here.
8. Strandvägen 1, at this restaurant Sofia has been seen many times, with her family members and friends.
9. At Six, Sofia knows hotel magnate Petter Stordalen and had lunch some time ago at Stordalen's new At Six at Brunkebergstorg. Carl Philip and Sofia have been here also at many private parties, it is really super trendy.

Carl Philip and Sofia were last weekend at the wedding of Bryan Hardenbergh and Carolyn Dumser in Cape May in USA. Bryan Hardenbergh is the Senior Director of Team Services of Philadelphia Flyers, he was a guest at Carl Philip and Sofia's wedding.
At the photo we see also former NHL-star Peter "Foppa" Forsberg (2nd from left, he played some years in Philadelphia Flyers) and another former Philadelphia Flyers star, finnish Kimmo Timonen (beside Carl Philip), this photo is from Timonen's charity organization's Instagram.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia had their first official program point together after the summer.
The spouses participated in a meeting with the heart project Project Playground held at the Palace. Sofia was previously secretary general of Project Playground, now she is active honorary chairman of the board.
"Today, Project Playground has a board strategy and board meeting that we have a number of times a year where the Prince couple is present", the current Secretary-General Charlotta Lundberg writes in an e-mail.
Since Carl Philip and Sofia got married in 2015, the princess has appeared extensively in the context where she represents the royal house, and she has been described as conscientious in her work. But after the summer, the court calendar has looked unusually empty, and so far only three assignments will be seen in the future.
When asked if this means that Princess Sofia changes the focus of the work, the court replies:
- It may well be. Right now there are other things the princess does that are not written in the court calendar, says Margareta Thorgren.
According to Margareta Thorgren, Princess Sofia is constantly working. But far from everything she does is visible in the royal calendar, which is based on the official program points.
- The Princess works actively with both her mission, Project Playground, and the foundation she has together with Prince Carl Philip. Everything is not visible in the court calendar. There will be continuous points that the princess wishes to attend, says the director of the press department.

There is a new picture of Carl Philip with his family. What a beautiful picture with lovely autumn colors ? I'd love to see it in HQ quality, but for whatever reason its not included on the court's image gallery! Also did not find the summer greeting on the court image gallery. Will it mean that we won't see his family pictures at kungahuset.se no longer??? That would be a real shame :bang:

There was no summer greeting this year and I think indeed the Prinsparet's family pictures will decrease to feature on kungahuset.se. Perhaps only the birthday pictures will still be posted.

Then account in which she is most active is also what is most private. Yes, superprivate indeed. There she has only a handful of followers, who have been able to access her around 1,500 posts. And her profile picture on this account is very personally chosen.
The second account is a little wider, it has five times as many followers and is followed by several of her celebrity friends. Here, the profile picture is a message that lies Sofia warmly to the heart.
For her own part, she follows a few hundred people.

Little Prince Alexander already has Instagram! Or, yes, it is the prince couple who hold the account of course. But it is entirely dedicated to their eldest son!
With a few followers, guessing family members and close friends, the Prince couple shared 11 private photos of Alexander. The profile picture for the account is a cute picture of Alexander, but if you don't know that it is him yoi can't guess. With respect for both the Prince couple and Prince Alexander, we obviously don't reveal the name of the account, but it is fun to see how active they are on Instagram in the hidden!
