Rupert Murdoch might be facing the wrath of some News Corp shareholders but he has a huge supporter in billionaire Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal.


The prince's investment company, Kingdom, has converted a three per cent non-voting stake in Mr Murdoch's global media group to a 5.46 voting share, vowing to help the media tycoon fend off any takeover bid.

Prince funds twins operation

NEW DELHI: Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, is funding an operation to separate a pair of Indian Siamese twins joined at the head.

The 10-year-old girls from a financially weak family of Bihar were admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital here on Monday and are undergoing medical examinations before an operation to separate them.

trying not to sound political---Considering the militants stance on things, I do not consider them islamic or muslim. I think the king and his country is doing a good job in finding the militants. Because it is an islamic country I can understand why the government waited until now to track down and arrest the terrorists. I am glad that the king recognises that the country does have militants and wants to end their terror--instead of turning a blind eye.
