Wishing her a speedy recovery and hopefully a quick diagnosis on the illness (uncertainty about the cause can often be nervwrecking for patient and family)
Come on! I am just back from three weeks in Italy. It is a first world country with absolutely top-class health care. In nothing it trails behind Belgium. I can even imagine the Queen, an Italian herself, would prefer treatment there.
As a Belgian, I completely agree with you !What do you mean: "We pay"? Any resident in Belgium, even illegals, have right on medical treatment. It does not matter one is a pauper or a royal. Doctors in Belgium will help you.
I am surprised with your remark. I can not imagine that when Prince Philip, Prince Henrik or Princess Beatrix were in hospital, people would make remarks about the costs. That the Queen is transported with an aeroplane: of course. Ordinary Belgians are also transported with special flights if needed and we can not expect Queen Paola, King Albert and the whole escort in a full comnercial Air Italia plane to Brussels. Come on.
The Queen is very lucky , it was not the first time but I fear also for King Albert II who is frail .
So she could go to this concert but not to the King's Feast two weeks ago.
Interesting, to say the least...
