Tuesday, October 15th The King and Queen attended a meeting and dinner with the World Scout Foundation in Paris. The King is the honorary chairman of the World Scout Foundation.
After the meeting was held a dinner in honor of King's 40 years on the throne had WSF invited a surprise guest: Buntu Tsotsobe of South Africa.
During a Scout Traveling in 2004 in Gugulethu near Cape Town met King the then 14-year-old Buntu Tsotsobe. The cub scout told the king that he wished he could always wear his uniform. With it on, he was respected and felt safe from gangs, violence and drugs.
After the meeting The King often used Buntu Tsotsobe story in his speeches and in response to what Scouts can do for young people.

Thanks for the Information. Now we know, why queen Silvia don't celebration World Children Prize of Rights on 17th October - she was in Paris! ;)

But it's pity, that we don't see pics of the queen by meeting/dinner World Scout Foundation in Paris! :ermm:

The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden at Government House this afternoon to exchange views on issues of mutual interest. Mr Leung welcomed the King of Sweden, who is visiting Hong Kong in his capacity as Honorary Chairman of the World Scout Foundation. Mr Leung is the Chief Executive and President of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
