Basketball was one of 30 activities that school students and Prince Daniel got to test during Sports Day in Farsta. The prince was in a really good mood and joked happily with the children who gathered around him.
Do you have fun?, asks a little boy.
- I've got it super fun, I've been testing lots of fun sports and met several lovely kids, the prince says, moving on to the cricket field.
The children rejoice when he shoots his first shot.

A great video from today. Many children want to make high-fives with Daniel. Daniel plays tennis with an 11-year-old boy and then the reporter asks from the boy what does he think about that the prince came here today? Have you met him previously? The boy says that it was great that he came here, it was cool to meet him like this, it was the first time he met the prince. Did you ask something from him? No. What would you have liked to ask him? Daniel comes to the boy. The reporter asks Daniel how was it to be here today? Daniel says: It is great fun, to meet great children like this (he hugs the boy). Are you a child or adolescent? Child, says Daniel. It is great fun. And he had a good touch, Daniel says about them playing tennis. How are you at tennis? Not good at all. I don't play tennis but I think it is fun, said Daniel. What are you favourites of the sports you can test today? I don't know, I haven't tried so many yet. I tried basketball, volleyball and now tennis. I hope to test more, said Daniel. Then they show Daniel playing some icehockey.

There were stars when nearly 2,000 students celebrated Sports day in Farsta. Olympic champion Carolina Klüft and World Cup medalist Victoria Sandell Svensson. But most fuss caused Prince Daniel.
- Daniel! Daniel, the children shout and surrounds the prince.
After smashing high fives with a forest with hands, the prince finally gets the help of a television reporter to break out.
For five years, Prince Daniel has been organizing the Sports Day in Haga park, to enable children and young people to activate and test new sports. This fall, the project has spread to 30 other places in the country.
1850 pupils from seven different schools in Söderort, with the help of 20 different sports associations, tested 29 different sports.
The prince went between basketball, beach volleyball and soccer and hit passes and smiled when the mobile phones smashed selfies.
Svea Rydström, 10, from Gröndal, had the opportunity to play cricket with the prince.
How was it to meet the prince?
- Very funny! I asked if he felt most like a prince or a normal person. He replied that he felt like being both. I don't really know what I thought he would answer but I think that was a good answer.
The prince went to the ice hall. He avoided sneaking on skates, but with a club in his hand he could stretch over the edge and hit a few passes to Melvin Bjaring Håkansson, 10. The skates he has borrowed are a bit too small. But he doesn't care much about it after the meeting with the prince.
- That was cool. I took a photo with him out there too, says Melvin.
On the way out of the hall, a student throws a question for Prince Daniel.
Are you good at hockey?
- No, just a Prince.
For real?
- For real.
Magnus Mårtensson, Project Manager for Sports Day in Farsta, admits that the royal visit gilded the day.
- It's the children's day and focus on them, but they think it's fun that the prince is here.
Is there any risk that there will be more selfies than sports?
- There is that risk, but I thought he was doing great job when he walked around so that many had a chance to meet him while trying sports at the same time.
The Sports Day comes back to Farsta next year. The question is whether the prince appears then too.
- It's too early to say. The court is responsible for that. But he is involved in the project and thinks this is important, says Mårtensson.

Daniel visited today schools in Gothenburg with Prince Daniel's Fellowship entrepreneurial programme. As experts/inspirators he had with him Alan Mamedi (Truecaller), Jonas Nordlander (Avito) and Gunilla von Platen (Xzakt Kundrelation) and the moderator was Leo Razzak. In the morning they visited Hvitfeldtska gymnasiet upper secondary school and in the afternoon The School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
- We believe the project is very useful because more young people get inspired and get insight into what it's like to be entrepreneurs and hopefully dare to see entrepreneurship as an alternative in the future, says Carl Bennet from the Steering Group of Prince Daniel's Fellowship.

The interest was great when entrepreneurs with Prince Daniel headed for Hvitfeldtska Upper Secondary School and The School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg. The message was clear: Dare to get started and see failures as valuable experiences.
The corridors at Hvitfeldtska are full of young people who stand in groups and hang when Prince Daniel, together with guards and three entrepreneurs, visits the school to inspire to entrepreneurship. Several of the students ask to take a picture with the prince. Prince Daniel smiles to the camera every time.
Together with Gunilla von Platen, Alan Mamedi and Jonas Nordlander, the prince is here to talk with young people, spread inspiration and inject against daring to take the step of becoming self-employed.
- I'm attracted to the younger generation. They are driven by values ​​and want to create a better society. Entrepreneurship is a great way to contribute to society, says Prince Daniel.
He talks passionately about the conversations he, with manyentrepreneurs, has with young people and students across the country. By presenting role models and in dialogue with upper secondary school students and university and college students, the goal is to contribute long-term to a culture that promotes entrepreneurship.

Daniel is also today in Gothenburg.
He attended at Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation's seminar and presented Prince Daniel's Research Grant for Promising Young Researchers. Daniel is the Honorary Chairman of the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation.

Daniel delivered Prince Daniel's Research Grant for Promising Young Researchers, 6 million SEK, to Associate Professor Mattias Carlström from Karolinska Institutet. He got the grant to research the ability of beetroot to reduce the risk of diabetes, kidney failure and cardiovascular disease.
- The Heart-Lung Foundation's grant allows us to move on with research that can be of crucial importance. Cardiovascular disease causes major suffering, and we hope that in the future, doctors will be able to help those affected by prescribing the right diet, says Mattias Carlström.

Prince Daniel delivered Prince Daniel's Research Grant for Promising Young Researchers to Associate Professor Mattias Carlström.
Earlier in the day, Prince Daniel visited the Wallenberg Laboratory at the Sahlgrenska Academy where he was received by Professor Fredrik Bäckhed (he received the grant in 2013) and Secretary General Kristina Sparreljung.
The Prince also attended a research meeting between professors Fredrik Bäckhed, Jan Borén and Göran Bergström who gave insight into research on bacteria, nutrition and healthcare. Göran Bergström is the head of SCAPIS, Sweden's largest study of cardiovascular and lung diseases. With a simple blood sample it should be possible to determine who is at risk of heart, vascular or lung disease. A total of 30,000 people across the country are researched in the study run by the Heart-Lung Foundation in collaboration with University hospitals.
During the visit, the Prince, among other things, saw a CT examination and attempt of bacterial free bubbles for mice.
In connection with the delivery of "Prince Daniel's Research Grant for Promising Young Researchers", the seminar was held on "Dag för genombrott" (Day of Breakthrough).

- It was amazing that the prince was with us. It was really fun. The joy of the children about that he attended was so great. His commitment means unbelievably much for this target group, said Nathalie Wallin, Project Manager for Special Olympics School Day.
100 students from five different school attended and were given the opportunity to test 14 different sports.
- A Special Olympics School Day is aimed at children and young people in special schools who have some form of developmental disorder. The goal of these days is that they will try different sports and at the end of the day join a sports club, Wallin says.
But Prince Daniel didn't want to be worse than anyone else - he tried a lot of sports.
- Of our 14 stations he tested the majority. Judo, table tennis, shooting, floorball ... Yes, very much. He seemed to like it!
What did the students think about the prince's presence?
- They made questions, wanted to take selfies and were very happy that he was there.
By the end of the day, Prince Daniel delivered a medal for all students who attended during the day.

Prince Daniel had time both to shoot in archery and challenge a judo champion when he attended the school version of the Special Olympics, an event for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. The visit was important to the prince who wants to encourage all children and young people to move.
At judo the prince met strong resistance in Daniel Anglen, who won gold in the Special Olympics 2015.
- He has never tried judo but he was strong anyway. The first time we wrestled, I won but the second time he won, says Daniel Anglen.
Prince Daniel said:
- I regretted immediately when I took a grip on Daniel. He felt really strong.
At the table tennis prince Daniel challenged several of the day's athletes. Fourteen-year-old Elvira Arvinder was not so impressed.
- He has to go home and practice more on table tennis. He wasn't so good in many balls.
But despite his losses, the prince is delighted with his involvement.
- It's a great initiative. It is very central that all children have the opportunity to move. All children and young people need to move for at least 60 minutes each day. Unfortunately, there are too few that come up in those quantities.
But training doesn't have to do just about sports, according to Prince Daniel.
- Basically, it's about finding joy in movement, it may be in sports, but you can just go out into the forest or to a playground. It does not have to be sport but is about movement, but sport is a great way to move if you think it's fun, he says.

Daniel attended on Monday morning at En Frisk Generation's (A Healthy Generation Foundation) morning seminar. It isn't at court's calendar.

En Frisk Generation started the week by inviting our partners and companies to the morning seminar. At the same time as the guests received juice, coffee, fruit and sandwiches En Frisk Generation's patron HRH Prins Daniel started the morning.

Prince Daniel and the entrepreneurs shared their own experiences and advice to the youngsters freely. To learn a lot by presenting his idea to others, the panel agreed about - do not hold the idea for yourself if you want to develop it was the message.

Daniel attends on 29-30th November at Slush (World's leading start-up event) in Helsinki, Finland. He attended at Slush also in 2015.

On Monday evening Daniel attended at Slush Small Talks at Skyddsrummet in Stockholm. Prince Daniel's Fellowship is one of cooperation partners of Slush at this event. This side event is arranged in Stockholm for the first time. The theme of the Small Talks in Stockholm is focused on stories about successful projects and collaborations between corporations and startups, as well as bringing companies from different industries together to foster innovation.

Daniel met on Thursday at the Royal Palace Stefan Lindeberg from the Swedish Olympic Academy.
The Swedish Olympic Academy is a joint project of The Swedish Olympic Committee, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Karolinska Institutet and The School of Economics. It was founded to help young talents in athletes for future olympic games with more resources.

Daniel attended on Thursday at the closure event for Prince Daniel's Fellowship mentor program 2015-2017 members at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

It would be nice if the court would publish more photos of Daniel's events at their website. This week he had two events at the calendar, no photos so far. And at least two events which weren't at the calendar.

Daniel attends on 29-30th November at Slush (World's leading start-up event) in Helsinki, Finland. He attended at Slush also in 2015.
On 23th October Daniel attended at Slush Small Talks at Skyddsrummet in Stockholm. Prince Daniel's Fellowship was one of cooperation partners of Slush at this event. Slush has on its website an article about this event. "We also had the pleasure to have Prince Daniel join us for an evening of good discussion between the smaller and bigger players of the ecosystem."

Daniel had on Monday evening a dinner for Prince Daniel's Fellowship entrepreneurial programme at Haga Palace.

Prince Daniel arrives in Helsinki for a two-day visit on Wednesday.
The Mannerheim Museum, Aalto University's Design Factory and Startup Sauna are on the program on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the prince will attend the opening show at this year's Slush. At Slush, Prince Daniel visits the Finland 100-showcase and Swedish Hotspot.
The visit to Finland is rounded off with a visit to Marimekko.

Finnish entrepreneurship and innovation is the theme of Prince Daniel's Fellowship's entrepreneurial trip to Helsinki, November 29-December 1. The delegation is chaired by the chairman of the group, Marcus Wallenberg, and Prince Daniel participates as honorary chairman.
The program includes visits to some of Finland's most exciting companies and innovative environments, such as Supercell, Marimekko and Aalto University. On Thursday, the delegation also visits Slush, one of the world's largest startups events, among which Al Gore participates as a speaker.
Among the delegates are Ashkan Pouya and Saeid Esmaeilzadeh from Serendipity Innovations, as well as a number of apprentices from the Prince Daniel's Fellowship's mentoring program.

Daniel has started his visit in Finland.

Daniel and the delegation of Prince Daniel's Fellowship arrived to the Mannerheim Museum at 09.37, they were a little late. Daniel greeted the press politely but didn't give any interviews. Toni Piipponen from the Mannerheim Museum told that it was Marcus Wallenberg, who suggested that Daniel and the delegation should visit the Museum, and it was the court's wish too. Piipponen also said that Daniel's visit was more informal than the visits of royals and state leaders usually.

At the Aalto University Design Factory Daniel was welcomed by professor Kalevi Ekman, who presented the Factory. Students who work with the various projects also attended at the event. The people were shy and no one dared to sit beside Daniel. But when there wasn't any empty seats available, someone finally dared to sit there. Daniel tries to make more young people dare to become entrepreneurs and brings visibility to young entrepreneurs.

At Startup Sauna Kasper Suomalainen presented their work with a 15 minutes lecture. Suomalainen tells at the video:
- We he talked in general about the strengths and development targets of Finland and Sweden. We also talked about social entrepreneurship, Suomalainen opens up the discussion with the prince.
Social entrepreneurship is an activity in which business models are used to solve, inter alia, social, cultural and environmental problems.
- Finally, we ended up talking about how important it is to give society something back. Society really supports entrepreneurs right from the start. We also spoke in general about the Nordic countries and what connects us here: it's the culture of doing things.
Prince Daniel is not the only dignified guest, who has been actively involved in the organization's activities and has been honored to introduce the Startup Sauna.
- More than 5,000 foreign visitors are here a year, and presidents from Lithuania to Brazil.
Suomalainen got a nice impression of the prince. They can also meet each other at a technology and growth company event in Slush tomorrow.
- A relaxed guy! Very nice. I would say that he smiled more than many other statesmen. It made this more special. It was a lot more relaxed, said Suomalainen, laughing.
