In the afternoon Finnish Schools on the Move project was presented to Daniel at the Juvanpuisto School, how schoolchildren can be encouraged to move more.
Prince Daniel visited Espoo at Juvanpuisto School. Daniel is in Finland getting acquainted with Finnish teaching and functional teaching.
The visit of Daniel raised a lot of interest in pupils and the smallest pupils were curious about what the title of Daniel is.
- Is that the king? children asked.
Daniel got to know the school in a classroom where the pupils don't sit at traditional pulpits, but schoolchildren can choose to work with standing or, for example, sitting on a gym ball.
- Many of you seem pretty active. What are you doing now? And you have activity trackers in your wrists, Daniel noted.
Daniel was presented with how the wristband measures the activity of schoolchildren during the school day.
Daniel made the pupils laugh by joking that the activity wristband would be a great tool to measure both his and Crown Princess Victoria's little Oscar boy during the day.
- I have a 2 year old boy and if I would give that to him ... Daniel grinned and demonstrated how lively Oscar was running around.
In the gym, Daniel was shown how students should move according to a particular heart rate zone. Children demonstrate how to increase the heart rate with lunges, jumping jacks and abdominal movements.
- I'm impressed, Daniel admirers.
Daniel talked to a pupil who had to get high heart rate. The prince said him to make lunges the other end of the hall and back.
- Well, how does it look, the prince asked the boy after the exercise.
- It's a good business, Daniel guided when the heartbeat had risen.
Daniel's guides were Iisak and Tinja from the 9th grade, they told Daniel that he was very relaxed, kind and easy to approach.
- Yesterday had to put Netflix in swedish to know the best phrases, Iisakki told Ilta-Sanomat about preparing for the prince's visit.
The 15-year-old student was not nervous about the visit of the prince.
- We watched a little bit about School on the Move. The best is to improvise.
Daniel talked with the young people for a long time and asked about the School on the Move project.
- Daniel was terribly interested in the Schoon on the project and how we work here. He was really relaxed, says Isaac.
- I wasn't nervous about meeting him. Daniel was relaxed and friendly, Tinja said.

Iisakki ja Tinja tapasivat prinssi Danielin koulullaan_ ”Rento ja ystävällinen”
Hufvudstadsbladet tells that Daniel and finnish minister Sampo Terho talked about ice hockey. Minister Terho spoke english with Daniel.
Hufvudstadsbladet asked Daniel:
How does the prince think Sweden is doing the ice hockey world championships?
- I believe in victory but Finland will be our hardest opponent. Only in ice hockey contexts we are not friends.
As a gift Daniel got a book where the students had written down their own thoughts about well-being, a blue and white beach ball and a cloth box with Drumsö motive.
