I don't think she's pregnant again. She looks stressed out, gauntly, hair unstyled, doesn't make any effort regarding her clothes.

"There are examples of royal womean with a much more demanding work schedule as Letizia, more small kids, difficult political situation who still look great and are on top of their looks. "
Could you name three royal women (Crowns Princesses) at present who, in your opinion, have a much more demanding work schedule than Letizia, more small kids & difficult political situation and yet still manage to look more fabulous on every occasion? I personally don't think it's fair to criticise Letizia for not looking her best when she's got one of the busiest, if not the busiest, schedules amongst the current crop of CPs! It is so much easier to "look great" when you've only got 1 or 2 engagements as opposed to 5 or 6 engagements per week?! I don't understand why so much emphasis has been put on her appearance - she's usually very elegantly dressed but she's had her "off days" just like every other CPs IMO ... I really think we should cut her some slack considering how busy she is most of the time!
I like Letizia's suit at Prado and her overall look yesterday. Gray is the color this fall/winter. I don't like her today's dress, another Verala dress with little imagination .

Her hair is terrible, messy bangs, too dark (Letizia looks the best with blonde highlights), no layers to give volumns. She has a couple of days off next week, a visit to the hair salon is a must.
I very much agree.
Letizia's hair and makeups doesn't look perfect as her TV days, perhaps she doesn't have much help in Zarzuela due to the tight budget.
TV anchors are looked after every second and wear a different make up, much too strong for every day life, but in theory this experience should have made it easier for her to style herself these days. I find Letizia's make up appropriate most of the times, however, her hair is in a very bad shape.
I think she looked very relaxed and full of energy most of the time. There were some acts which are more serious (ex. the visit to the Basque and Prado) and lots of pictures were taken when she was listening to the speeches, thus we saw her serious look.

Not too fond of Letizia's dress today, not for her age, Queen Sofia could pull that one off too.
I have always admired Felipe and Letizia. For me, they are the couple with the most photos of adoring/loving looks to each other and photos of them holding hands. However, in my observation only, in the latest 3 acts- Guadalajara, bilbao and Prado museum- I haven't seen them holding hands nor give the loving looks or whispering to each other, except maybe for these three below and the many happy photos of them greeting the crowd.
I said royal women in general, the best example is even a Queen, Rania, who has a much more busy schedule with her own duties, four kids and is recognized for both her professional work and her looks. If you want me to name a CP it must be Maxima, whose schedule might not be as busy but she does a lot on her own, which is damanding in its own right. I don't say she is always on top of her looks but she always shines and shows her famous vibrancy, despite taking care of three daughters.
My problem with Letizia is - and I have stated that in earlier posts - that I cannot judge her much on her work as I don't see her do any visible work on her own, apart from three or four events since her marriage. She accompanies Felipe, ok, they work as a team but it's always him who does the visible work: speeches, prize deliveries etc, even in fields that would be perfect for Letizia to be occupied. So all I can do most times is judge her on her appearance which has gone downhill when looking back to the beginning. It's her job to look good - something she fulfilled excellently in the past but not anymore, even more important since her role offers no space to do much more.
Excellently written. As long as she looks presentable is what I say. All the CP's have their off days when it comes to their outfits but as long as they do their job and do it well, kudos for them. I am quite sure it isn't easy being the future Queen in a country where the monarchy is still young and the republican contingency is very vocal but Letizia seems to be handling it with poise and grace.
Can you explain a little more this charming negative thaught? May be if you have photoshop could you try to explain better how a black and white dress with a wasp waisted, by the way with a big tight belt isn't for a 35th years old woman?:ron:
You have your own criterion for judging which is fine but there are others who do not judge people based on appearance.
Maxima, Mary, Mette-Marit, Rania--also, I much rather go to 5 or 6 engagements, where I sit most of the time and look interested than work 2 jobs, 7 days a week. I don't think it's the same. Also, Letizia does not change diapers in the middle of the night--she must have help: a cook, a nanny or two, etc. I don't feel sorry for her, and, yes, she should look good every day...that's her job!
i like the suit, but what a big mistake to allow cameras in front of the meninas!! http://images2.image-data.com/images/1/lowres/24239/24239493.jpg
aw, isn't this picture adorable? http://actualidad.terra.es/addon/img/feed/actualidad/20070928/72170b66688b8g.jpg
. At the opposite, I find this hairdo sober, clean and effectively not so much sophisticated. But the question is- all the women know that- for the maintain of a sophisticated hairdo ( color, cut and so on) the necessecity to have a lot of time to do that. Look at the Queen Sofia, or at the Queen Beatrix, they have solved the problem with the same hairdo since a while and a tons of hairspray, in particular for the Queen Beatrix.
I don't know if the princess of Asturias have enough of this precious time to devote to an impecable as an iron helmet hairdo ?
When she was anchorwoman, we can say that her was lovely hair because before all her emissions she did her hair, but in fact it was only an external consideration because if you are watching at this period, she had very often a too fashioned hair cut, sometimes very near as a movie star than a business woman, lawyer and so on. I prefer so much her hairdo of now, may be more boring for the day, but sometimes estupendous for gala dinner - 40 years of W.A. of Orange Nassau). More for special occasions we have seen the Princess of Asturias with fantastic hairdoo: some gals when she was pregnant of Sofia, all the Prince of Asturias Prices and so on...:tonks::tonks::umbridge:
