i thought Alexandra looked sad at her grandma's funeral...she had her head constantly bowed...she reminded me of Violet from "the Incredibles' that day...

i can imagine the whole family as tired, shocked, and sad b/c they have that combined look about them. one thing i did notice about girls in alex's generation is the fact that they all dress alike. i stopped and looked at my sister and she has this a-lined/streamlined style of dress about her clothes with minimum makeup. and yes, i did notice that she was wearing makeup on the b'day and national day pics.

all of the grandchildren have similar clothes on... it reminds me of family von trap from sound of music and their uniforms...

they are similar to the von trapp family. i thought that too when i saw the sound of music a few weeks ago.hehehehe.

really? That would explain why they all dress alike...but why must they dress alike?

for most funerals, it's usually wear black, occasionally white. i've never heard of otherwise. but i have noticed in europe, most royal men usually wear morning suits if not military uniforms and certain orders.

yeah black and white ...but is there a rule that must wear the same suits and everyting? ^___^

by same suits, do you mean the morning suits that louis, felix, and jean, jr and some of the other guests had on? if so, then that could've been j-c's preference or a request from the family. but as a general rule, for funerals, the only rules that apply are one should be solemn as it is a solemn occasion and one should wear black or white. the cuts and designs of the individual suits ppl wear shouldn't matter, seeing as the only ppl that usually wear matching suits at a funeral are military personel, and the ppl that work for the funeral home/morturary or are there representing an organization that the person was involved with, unless the deceased or the family of the deceased request otherwise which could cause problems.

was it in 2004? i thought it was in 2003...but i'm probably wrong like always ^___^

the pics from cabasson in 2004 were from marie astrid's b'day party and the pics from 2003 were of them on the beach doing stuff.

i don't think there were any beach pics taken. the only ones i saw were from the archdukes of austria party.

Yes, she does seem to wear white a bit... but for a First Holy Communion or Confirmation that's a standard practice. At what other events has she worn white? By the way, thanks for the pictures, drimal! :) I've never seen these before

I think that she looks beautiful in white. I love her in red as well.

i saw her in white during the photo shoot for henri and sebastien's b'day pics and during national day last year. thanks for the pics drimal.

Princess Alexandra had both a First Communion and a Confirmation... what are both of these?

Sorry, this is off topic

The Catholic Church has Seven Sacraments which include Confirmation, Communion, Baptism, Reconciliation etc. Here are some links, because I can't explain things very well.
About the Sacraments: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_sacraments
First Holy Communion: http://www.catholicireland.net/pages/index.php?nd=49
Communion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communion
Confirmation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_%28sacrament%29
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04215b.htm

I hope this helps. :)
