Crisis in the Queen's foundation - secret sms reveal the Secretary-General
Harassment and master suppression techniqueshas been commonplace at Queen Silvia's foundation Mentor Sweden, tells former employees.
SMS conversations show how Secretary General Karin Jordås mocks two different employees, Expressen can reveal.
The board - with business peoples like H & M's Stefan Persson and EF Bertil Hult - has not acted despite several warning signs.
Mentor Sweden works with mentoring to support teenagers. Respect, dedication and knowledge are the values of the non-profit organization.
The foundation was founded by Queen Silvia, who is also honorary member of the board. The board also includes business leaders such as H & M's chairman Stefan Persson, EF Chairman Bertil Hult and Astra Zeneca's CEO Jan-Olof Jacke, who is the new CEO of the Swedish Enterprise.
Bonnier is also involved in Mentor Sweden through a collaboration with the newspaper Dagens industri.
But now it storms on Mentor Sweden.
For several years, employees have tried to get the Board of Directors of Mentor Sweden's Secretary-General, Karin Jordås, fired.
- It's so sad. It is a charity and companies donate money to make good. Instead, the money goes to recruitment because they can not keep their staff, says a former employee who wants to be anonymous.
Expressen has without success sought Secretary General Karin Jordås.
President Yvonne Thunell writes in a text to Expressen that she can not comment on the information:
"At the moment we are handling this matter about leadership so I can not give you any comments at this time".
In 2013, an investigation was made due to the Secretary General's leadership. However, the Board did not act and the staff move continued.
The employees testified that many were displeased and ended at the charity because of senior management.
"Criticism is silenced and employees are afraid. They adapt and become consistent, " wrote another employee.
The employee survey was then sent to the board, telling former employees. But nothing happened.
Criticism remains and the situation has become more acute lately.
In recent weeks, a further investigation has been made of the situation at Mentor Sweden. But even this time, the Secretary-General is still having confidence.
- We do not know if the Queen has learned what's going on, says a former employee.
According to Margareta Thorgren, the Queen did not know about the problems at Mentor Sweden.
- The Queen received information recently and looks seriously at the information. Obviously, she takes offense, says Margareta Thorgren.
According to Thorgren, the queen has been informed by her, and directly by Mentor Sweden's chairman Yvonne Thunell.
Mentor is funded by and collaborates with large and well-known Swedish companies such as H & M, SEB, Peab and EF.
A former employee at Mentor Sweden tells Expressen that the big companies are so excited to meet the Queen a few times a year, so they are in trouble.
- It is so terrible that these leaders are on the board and give money to the organization, but completely without taking responsibility. It's a scandal, says a former employee.
- They nod and thank for meeting the queen.
