The schedule and dates for the South Korean state visit are yet to be published. Lets see if there is a Guildhall dinner on the second night, and who the senior royal present might be. I am hoping that it is the Prince & Princess of Wales, but it may well be the Duke & Duchess of Edinburgh.

Irrespective if dress code, the Princess is unlikely to attend the state opening of Parliament, the Prince will be in Asia at the time.
 
My guess for spanish state visit to denmark
Margrethe: wish Emerald Parure-more likely Pearl Poiree
Letizia: wish Cartier Loop- most likely Fleur de Lys

Mary: Ruby Parure
Benedikte- Fringe Tiara
- It would be nice to see a jewel suprise, Letizia with a necklace or different Brooch, Margrethe with rarley worn crown jewels.

I'd rather see Mary with a new tiara. Hope she's allowed to at least wear the ruby one and not relegated to her wedding tiara again.

Yes the Gloucesters have had their time doing this event, I really hope for the Wales' or Edinburghs.
 
I'm hoping Camilla will bring out the big gun and wear the George IV State Diadem for the State Opening of Parliament. It has been worn by every Queen since Queen Adelaide in the 1830s.

TBH I'll just be made up if its a full ceremonial thing not the 'dressed down' version we saw the past few times.

I too hope that Camilla will wear the George IV. Diadem next Tuesday. Actually it has never been worn by Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mum)
 
True, well remembered. The Queen Mother seemed to prefer using her crown without the arches (i.e in a very similar looking circlet style to the George IV diadem) instead.

The Diamond Diadem is a good option
 
I think that Camilla will either wear the State Diadem at the State Opening of Parliament, or she will never wear it at all. It is really hard to imagine her wearing it a normal State Banquet.

It will be interesting to see how State Opening will be conducted under the new king. After a couple of 'dressed down' State Openings due to covid and multiple elections, they might have decided to keep the dressed down version for good. Mmmh, let's hope not, but I'm preparing myself. I really, really, really hope to see the State Diadem on Camilla. And I expect to see Kate with Queen Mary's lover's knot tiara.

Catherine is unlikely to be at the state opening. However, I do hope we get to see her in the Queen Mary Fringe in the not too distant future.
 
Yes I think it will be all or nothing... I'm hoping Charles' wish to see Cams in the State Diadem outweighs other considerations. I agree, if Camilla doesn't wear it for the State Opening it won't be worn for anything else other than maybe a portrait at some point.

As William is out the country I don't expect Catherine to attend solo.
 
But could it be that Camilla will wear the State Duadem for a later State Opening if Parliament if she doesn't do it this year. Wondering that there is no Information yet if will be full ceremonial or not.

Or could it be that the use carriages and all this and only change the dresscode (it should be forbidden to do that)
 
I hope Queen Camilla wears State Diadem at the opening of parliament. I hope they continue the tradition of wearing tiaras on this occasion.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any leaks yet on the dress code as I'm sure royal watchers and reporters are keen to know

I just cannot see State Opening of Parliament being full ceremonial. I truly believe that the cut down of regalia for the coronation and the past few openings of parliament being toned-down will continue.

I think Camilla will wear the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara

Not long now, so lets see where we land. I would be surprised if the King wore the crown, but all shall be revealed soon.

In the event that Queen Camilla did indeed wear a tiara (and ideally, the George IV diadem) to the State Ppening of Parliament tomorrow, what necklace would we expect to see her wear? QE2 was quite varied in her choices, ranging from the Queen Victoria jubilee pearl and diamond necklace to a collet collier to Qatari pearls.

I suspect Queen Camilla may well wear her pearl choker with the larger diamond clasp.

Indeed I was really surprised his RFO didn't appear at the Coronation, I thought that was very odd.

I think Camilla chose a deliberately paired back look for the Coronation: the traditional Coronation necklace, her simple solitaire earrings, no bracelets or extra rings, and hence, no RFO.

The other royal ladies wore the late Queen's RFO so it did look odd that they were not wearing the RFO of the new Monarch alongside it.

My guess is that it wasn't ready for the coronation as it was so early after the accesion compared to other coronations. Lets hope there will be one after all but perhaps they have ditched it. Would not surprise me with all that modernizing,

Has there really been much modernizing? The only concession so far in the King's reign was the Queen Consort not wearing a tiara at Versailles and the "casual" coronation(for the guests, the King and Queen Consort were still full adorned). If the rumours are true of a full scale SOoP tomorrow then its pretty much business' as usual.
